The 2022 Volvo XC60 has received significant upgrades this year, making it an even more compelling luxury compact SUV. Already considered one of the most comfortable and refined models in its class, the XC60 is now one of the most connected and advanced as well.
In terms of safety, XC60 gets Volvo’s new Advanced Driver Assistance Systems platform which uses a combination of radar, cameras, and ultrasonic sensors that can detect other users on the road to react more quickly to potential danger. This means better reaction times and improved performance when it comes to automatic braking and collision avoidance.
The infotainment system has also been redesigned and is now incorporated with Google Assistant meaning that a wide range of Google apps like Google Maps is available at the touch of a button. The Android infotainment system is the first of its kind with Google apps built-in.
The 2022 Volvo XC60 will continue to be powered by either a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine or a more powerful T6 powertrain. A plug-in hybrid version with roughly 30 kilometres of range and an impressive 400 horsepower is also offered. And if that wasn’t enough, there’s also an even more powerful version of this plug-in hybrid engine that delivers a surprising 415 horsepower while also offering a great all-electric range.
As for the first engine, it offers 250 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque while the second T6 engine, which is both turbocharged and supercharged, offers 316 horsepower. In its price range, it is the most powerful engine you can buy.
