Volvo revamped its model lineup for 2023 by replacing the Momentum, Inscription and R-Design trim levels with the Core, Plus, and Ultimate trims in almost all of its models.
Core
This is the new entry-level version of almost every Volvo model, effectively replacing the Momentum equipment level. This version blends a high level of standard equipment and a more traditional style with elements of chrome and clean lines at a more affordable price. The Core trim level includes all of the standard features such as the lane keeping assist, oncoming lane mitigation, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, the dual-zone automatic climate control system, and the Google built-in infotainment system.
Plus
This trim level adds to the Core model by blending elements found previously in the Inscription and the R-Design models. This makes for a very well-equipped vehicle that shows a more aggressive style created by replacing the exterior chrome with black accents and by making the bumpers, the grille, and the wheels sportier and bolder. For drivers who prefer a more traditional style but also want to benefit from the increased standard equipment of the Plus model, a bright theme is offered on a number of models. This theme keeps the styling elements found in the Core model.
Ultimate
As its name indicates, this model is at the top of the Volvo trim-level lineup, with the exception of the Polestar-engineered models offered on select Recharge vehicles. The Ultimate trim makes available all of the comfort, safety, and technology features developed by Volvo. These features include Pilot Assist, the 360-degree camera system, the head-up display, the massaging front seats, the four-corner air suspension, the premium Bowers & Wilkins sound system, the air purifier, and the Nappa leather upholstery in most models. Outside, a similar style to the Plus model is obtained by selecting the Dark theme while the Bright theme makes it possible to have all of the luxuries of the Ultimate model with the simple and elegant style of the Core model.
