The Volvo XC90 has an impressive set of features that are engineered to improve its comfort for every passenger on board. These are some of them.
The Active Chassis
The Volvo XC90 can be ordered with the available Active Chassis air suspension system that replaces the traditional gas-filled dampers by adaptive air cylinders that can be modulated many times per second to provide a tailored ride. By being linked to the drive mode selection, this suspension can adjust itself to best suit the driver’s intentions, thus being firmer in sport mode and offering an increased ground clearance in offroad mode. When set to normal, the suspension uses sensors to detect imperfections in the road and prepare itself in order to transfer as little movement and vibrations as possible to the occupants, even on broken pavement.
The massaging front seats
In addition to being anatomically designed, the seats in the Volvo XC90 can be upgraded with a five-program massaging function that helps the driver and the front passenger be more comfortable and feel refreshed even after many hours of driving. This feature comes with the soft Nappa leather upholstery and the ventilated function, which complements the standard heated seats to offer the optimal level of comfort to front seat passengers in any weather. The outboard positions of the second-row seat can also be heated to improve rear passenger comfort in the winter.
The advanced climate control system
The Volvo XC90 comes standard with a four-zone automatic climate control system that allows both front seat passengers as well as the two outboard second-row occupants to choose their favorite ambient air temperature, which is then maintained by the system in all kinds of weather. In addition, this system can be fitted with the new air purifier, which can remove up to 99.9% of the pollen from the air entering the cabin, as well as 95% of polluting airborne fine particles and 97% of viruses in order to keep everyone on board safe and healthy.
