Volvo reworked the top trims of its S60 and V60 models, which are now called Recharge. Both of these models are plug-in hybrid vehicles that should be on your list if you are looking for a compact luxury vehicle.

The Volvo S60 and V60 Recharge are powered by a plug-in hybrid system that combines the best elements from a gasoline engine and an electric powertrain. One of the attributes of this system is the fuel economy that is possible. Indeed, the S60 Recharge can achieve a fuel consumption as low as 7.0L / 100 km on the highway and 8.4L / 100 km in the city, with a combined figure of 7.8 L / 100 km. The V60 Recharge is also capable of the same numbers, despite its higher weight. What is even more impressive is the all-electric range of 35 kilometers that can be achieved if you plug the vehicle into a charger. This means that you could make all of your daily commutes without using a single drop of fuel, which is good for the environment and your wallet. The Volvo S60 and V60 Recharge benefit from the highest horsepower and torque numbers of any other S60 and V60 models, with 400 horsepower and 472 ft-lb of torque transmitted to all four wheels in order to create impressive accelerations and an engaging driving experience which lets you have fun behind the wheel. For even more excitement and an even more powerful vehicle, both the S60 Recharge and the V60 Recharge are available with a Polestar tune which boosts output up to 415 horsepower and 495 ft-lb of torque. The Recharge powertrain is the most advanced and powerful used by Volvo, while remaining fuel efficient and good for the environment.
