Canadian winters are some of the harshest in the world, with frigid temperatures and demanding road conditions for many months each year. Due to its experience with the similar Swedish winter, Volvo integrates a host of technologies in its cars in order to keep you safe and comfortable, no matter the weather.
With your comfort in mind
Every Volvo model is equipped with many features designed to cater to your comfort in the winter, such as standard front heated seats and automatic climate control with air filtration and humidity detection. A heated steering wheel, heated rear seats and a dual zone climate control system that allows you and your passenger to set the temperature that is the most comfortable for each of you are available for every Volvo in order to make every one on board enjoy their time in your vehicle. Also available on most Volvo models is a 4-zone climate control system that adds to the experience of your rear seat passengers by allowing them to select their own temperature as well. The Volvo On Call suite of online services allows you to remotely start your Volvo and preheat the interior while you stay inside. The XC40 Recharge and C40 Recharge can also preheat their interior while they are still plugged into a charger, thus limiting the range reduction cause by the climate control system.
Legendary Safety
Volvo has maintained its reputation for outstanding safety for over 90 years and the 2022 models are no exception. Every Volvo is available with all-wheel drive in order to get you to where you want to be safely and easily all winter long. In addition, many active safety features work together to keep you on the road, such as the electronic stability control with traction control that applies the brakes to the wheels that are slipping to maintain the path desired by the driver. You can drive with confidence in all conditions since every 2022 Volvo model has received the IIHS’ Top Safety Pick + award for its overall safety.
