It is difficult to find a three-row luxury plug-in hybrid SUV that can compete with the Volvo XC90 Recharge. In April, Volvo announced a series of improvements that will enhance the XC90 Recharge's performance and make it even more appealing.
As compared to the previous Volvo XC90 Recharge, the 2023 Volvo XC90 Recharge offers a greater level of power, efficiency, refinement, and range. Here we look at three things that make the new Volvo XC90 Recharge better this year.
More all-electric range
The Volvo XC90 Recharge for 2023 is now equipped with an 18.8 kWh battery. In comparison to the previous 11.1 kWh battery in the XC90 Recharge, the new battery has a significantly higher capacity. Therefore, the 2023 XC90 Recharge will be able to travel 58 kilometers between charges, doubling the previous range of the model.
Exactly what does this mean and why is it important? Although the previous Volvo XC90 Recharge had a good range, it could not complete an average commute without using fuel. Many people who commuted more than 30 kilometers still had to use fuel in their Volvo XC90 Recharge. The new 2023 Volvo XC90 Recharge has a range of 58 kilometers, which means it can travel further on electric power alone, and most owners will not need to use fuel throughout the day. Think of how much money you could save at the end of the year.
It also gets more power
Aside from its increased range, the Volvo XC90 Recharge has also been enhanced in terms of power. With an upgraded rear electric motor, the 2023 Volvo XC90 Recharge delivers 455 horsepower. In other words, the XC90 Recharge offers the same power as a Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid, and quite a bit more power than a BMW X5 PHEV. It is also Volvo's most powerful SUV to date.
One-Pedal Driving
Volvo's 2023 XC90 Recharge features more technology than ever before. The one-pedal driving system allows you to control the accelerator and brakes solely with your right foot. Thus, the XC90 Recharge provides even greater comfort and an even more engaging driving experience. Get more information about the 2023 Volvo XC90 Recharge by calling us today.
