Charging with a regular household outlet
The slowest and most basic way to charge the battery of the 2023 Volvo C40 Recharge is by using a standard 120-volt household outlet and the provided charging cable. Using this method known as level 1 charging is not the ideal way to use daily for most drivers since it can take around 45 hours to fill the battery. Nevertheless, it can be very useful to top off the battery when visiting places that are not equipped with any kind of specialized electric vehicle charging equipment.
Charging at home or in public

When using these types of chargers, the C40 Recharge only needs 37 minutes to go from 10% to 80%, which makes for an ideal lunch break and allows occupants to stretch out after many hours of driving.
